What is the procedure for getting the 9001 certification?

These bodies give the organization the list of needed improvements in the organizations. And once these modifications are done in the quality management system, then again an audit is conducted by the cortication body.

And if in the audit the quality management system of the organization is found perfect according to the ISO standard, then only the certification is provided. Organizations can apply for the ISO 9001 irrespective of their size.

Does ISO 9001 certification need renovation?

Yes. The certification needs renewal after every three years. But this renewal is not on the basis of previous audit. Before renewal, an audit is conducted to check the quality systems are up to the mark of ISO standards or not; and are they modified accordingly if the standards are modified in the three years patch.
